My all-time favorite hot pot place throughout college and even now as a postgraduate! Service, food, and perks are incredible. They recently launched weekly specials where you can choose between a student discount, $1 meat platters, or $1 xiao long bao. Please take advantage of these deals because I was able to eat a lot for a great deal! I will definitely be returning here again. If you're a hot pot enthusiast, come to Hai Di Lao for the ultimate experience XD

Haidilao not only is best in class for a traditionally commoditized product, but has great character with fun stuffed animals if you eat alone and fun character all around. The quality of the food is high, but the quality of the fun is unsurpassed. Rachel is the best ever, you could not ask for a more wonderful person. Her joy is contagious (in a good way) and unparalleled, except for Hank, Hank is the best - in the universe.

In A Nutshell: -Haidilao always has some of the best hot pot you can find on Earth. -This location at Century City is nicely laid out w/ plenty of seating & very clean. -The service at this location was impeccable, the staff were extremely friendly & knowledgable. -I like how you can order 1/4 broth w/ free boiling water in case you aren't as hungry. -The robot server is a nice touch as well. Overall, if you want a relaxing hot pot meal in a cool, calm environment w/ some privacy this is a great location to go to.

Happy 4th of July at HDL Century City! What fun to celebrate here with the best staff (special shoutout to the wonderful Ray and Diana for welcoming us) and delicious food. Ray was a model of amazing customer service as usual, and Haidilao continues to earn my praise as the best restaurant in Los Angeles to take your friends and family or just come for a good time if you want quality hotpot. I was trying to keep the meal short since I'm rarely off from work these days, but ended up enjoying my meal too much to really rush. There were a few minor issues that came up during the menu but overall a good time. Huge shoutout to Diana because the few minor hangups cumulatively almost made the experience this time a 4.5 stars on Yelp, but her fantastic customer service ironed it out fast before I even could say more than a few words. Some Highlights from the Menu: Excited to have tried some new items off their menu, including their "shiitake mushroom stuffed with shrimp paste" and their new soup base "pickled vegetable and fish". Brown sugar jelly dessert was a meh. The mix with fruit as a topping was a slightly weird combination for us, but perhaps it's a personal preference. The shiitake mushroom stuffed with shrimp paste was also not a hit with the table. I love anything with shiitake mushroom, but realized a few chews in that the mushroom was actually baby bella/cremini (a type of mushroom I honestly kind of hate eating unless covered in pasta sauce and wouldn't have ordered). So, that item was probably the first item I ordered at HDL that I particularly disliked, but Rachel/ Diana handled it with grace once I brought up that the mushroom was not shiitake. Also tried the kombu seedlings for the first time and they were DELICIOUS. Handsdown tastiest vegetable on the menu, please keep this one on the menu. As far as I can remember, also haven't tried the New York steak before, but I loved them this time. Follow the directions and cook around 10 seconds. The appetizers of the day had some of my favorite array- with the oyster mushrooms and lychee stars of the show. We also ordered some of our usual bases, mushroom base (solid choice when you want something lowkey but tasty, although I wasn't a big fan of the taste of the dried darkened versions of the enoki floating in the base). Ray surprised us with the cutest fourth of July bear and some bears, and it made my day! We also got to meet Rachel, who is Ray's trainee, and very attentive despite being a trainee. It was a pleasure to get to see everyone again and enjoy a fantastic meal at HDL on this holiday.

The nicest staff!! Every time we come, they bring us so much stuff! Last time we were there, our waitress came around with a bowl of her favorite dipping sauce and asked us later what we thought. I love that they make you feel like they've known you forever. The food is incredibly fresh as well, and the sauce bar is always clean. I highly recommend this restaurant!!

First time in after passing by a few times. Perfect for this Sunday afternoon. Prices were what you'd expect. The service is exceptional. Jamie was our waitress and was very upbeat and kind. Would definitely come back. The hot broth is HOT.

I have a special place in my stomach for Haidilao. It's the type of place where you simply can't stop eating. We walked out last night so stuffed we wanted to yack (I mean this in the best way possible) but that's simply inevitable. My go to broth is ALWAYS the spicy pork broth. It makes everything taste amazing, especially the carbs that soak all the flavor up. I haven't tried everything on their menu but I imagine they're what you'd expect as it's been for everything we've ordered. The only thing I feel is a must-try is the hand pulled noodles: they'll come out and put on a little show for you it's really fun. There's also a snack/sauce bar where you can fill up on nostalgic Asian snacks, build your own dipping sauce, and get some fruit or other sweet things to cleanse your palate. Service is so good. Our server was constantly checking in on us, bringing us aprons, hairties, wipes, you name it. I know that's what they're trained do, but it really does make you feel taken care of and it's just so different from the usual kind of service you'd get around here. For the two of us we paid just under $70, but we also didn't get any meat. Definitely can get pricey here, but it's worth it every once in a while for me!! You will be getting your money's worth in not just food, but in a great dining experience!!

Food 5/5: fresh meat, melts in your mouth. Fish based yellow soup and pork soup GOES CRAZY! Although, the pork soup is a bit too spicy for me even if it's only one spice level. The rainbow vegetable noodle was super chewy, the beef tongue is oh my gawd. Duck intestine was ok. Service 5/5: exceptional. Ambiance 5/5: good for friends gathering, dates, family. All. I highly recommend!!
